It was very exciting to receive a call from HBO about THE FRANCHISE, Armando Iannucci's latest satirical comedy, and this one about superhero franchises, which we are, of course, familiar with here in south east Scotland (check out the Filmed Here archives). Also 'Marvel'ous to have it film at the Leaderfoot Viaduct in the Scottish Borders, last featured in none other than INDIANA JONES DIAL OF DESTINY. This helped streamline the process as the stakeholders around Melrose and the Viaduct were already 'film-ready', and the production experience therefore considerably less stressful than the show in the series.
