Verses of Love 2 (Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2)

Ayat Ayat Cinta 2 (Verses of Love 2) is a sequel to one of Indonesia’s most successful films. The romantic drama finds the characters in Edinburgh where protagonist Fahri is now a lecturer at Edinburgh University without his love, Aisha.

The first film released in 2008, Ayat Ayat Cinta, was more successful at the Indonesian box office than Titanic!

The production spent two weeks filming across the capital with Edinburgh based production company Filming Scotland.

Some of the locations featured include: Fleshmarket Close, Scottish National Gallery, North Bridge, Calton Hill, George Street, Royal Mile, The Dome, Carrubers Close, Old Tolbooth Wynd, Princes St Gardens and Scott Monument.
