Marty is an award winning composer who has written and produced soundtracks for broadcast, film and the stage. Working from his studio in Edinburgh, Metro 13 Music HQ, previous clients have included BBC TV and Radio, Discovery Channel, Hopscotch Films, Arpeggio Pictures, Infinite Content, Baille Gifford, Pirate Productions, GNWTV and The Gate Worldwide. His performance and recording credits feature a diverse range of names in international music: from Jimmy Somerville to Human Nature; Ireland's Ronan Keating to Senegal's Pape Mbaye.

Credits include "Putuparri and the Rainmakers', 'None Of The Above', 'Strong IS Better Than Angry', the award winning 'Grimm Street' and the animation 'Dave'. With extensive experience as a session musician, Marty Hailey has performed as a guitarist on many scores such as Baz Luhrmann's 'Australia' and the critically acclaimed documentaries 'The Burning Season' and 'This is America'. He has written music for the BBC, ABCTV (Aus), Channels 7 and 10 (Aus) and Discovery Channel Europe. Marty has worked as a member of house bands and music departments for The Singing Office (Fox), The Sideshow (ABC), Good News Week (ABC).

Marty is the musical director for international cabaret sensation Le Gateau Chocolat, The I Hate Children Children’s Show from San Francisco and punk cabaret outfit The Little Death Club. Marty was musical director for La Clique's return to London's West End in 2019.
