Adapted from Irvine Welsh's 2008 novel of the same name, CRIME is a six-part mini-series for Britbox, co-written by Welsh and Dean Cavanagh. A sequel to Welsh's earlier novel and feature film FILTH, DI Ray Lennox (Dougray Scott) leads an investigation into the disappearance of an Edinburgh schoolgirl while confronting his own past trauma.

Exteriors were filmed around the city of Edinburgh, with notable locations including the Dumbiedykes housing estate in the shadow of Arthurs Seat, Edinburgh's Old Town, Calton Hill, Drummond Place in the New Town, Edinburgh Waverley Station, culminating with a dramatic encounter at the Cramond causeway.
