Recently Wrapped: The Sopranos

Michael Caton-Jones returns home to Scotland as he adapts Alan Warner’s cult hit novel, The Sopranos.

The production recently wrapped its Edinburgh schedule for the film which follows a group of Catholic schoolgirls from Oban who travel to the capital for a choir competition.

Broxburn native Caton-Jones optioned the novel from Alan Warner in 1998, however it has taken 20 years for the film to finally enter production. Scottish production company Sigma, who are coming off of big-budget Netflix epic Outlaw King, have teamed with Caton-Jones to make his passion piece a reality.

The main cast is made up of relative newcomers including Eve Austin, Tallulah Greive, Abigail Lawrie, Sally Messham, Rona Morison, and Marli Siu. Kate Dickie and David Hayman also star.
