I am an incredibly organised MSc and BA honour's graduate with excellent communication skills. I currently have 6 months experience as a production trainee and locations trainee developed during a work scheme traineeship. During this traineeship I developed many of the transferrable skills I gained from years of work in the Edinburgh Fringe as an Usher/Stagehand and my work in retail. I would love to continue developing these skills and learning new ones in a professional TV or Film environment and am open to all runner assistant oppurtunities/offers. I have a full driver's license.
Film/ TV Experience
- Whitestag Films (18/01/22- 17/06/22)
Production trainee as part of Kickstart program, primarily tasked with researching for their period films. This was done prior to or during script writing. Some topics I researched were Glasgow gangs in the 1920-1930s, The Second Summer of Love and The history of East Lothian for a period film set in the 1960s. Other responsibilities included location scouting, particularly in Speyside/Moray for commercial films. As I had no professional background in film before this it was required that I adapt quickly to new challenges and adversity. My research and presentation skills which I developed throughout my two degrees became very useful in being able to present complex historical information in a digestible form.
