Lucas Chih-Peng Kao is a film director and multidisciplinary artist based in Edinburgh.

He had been through talent development scheme with Edinburgh International film festival, Scottish film and talent network, Glasgow Media Access Center, B3 Media and Young Film foundation.

His short film “V Day” was screened in competition at Glasgow Short Film Festival and “The Good Dark” was screened in BluePrint in Glasgow Film theatre.

his art practice combines performance, installation, movement and video, often focusing on issue of presentation and identity.

He had collaborated extensively with dancers and physical theatre performers, his latest installation “The Faery Trail”, reinterpretating faery tale creatures collaborating with nine performers of colour and costume designer Mona Kastell resulted in a six month exhibition in Bury Museum Manchester.

He had worked extensively as script supervisor/continuity in the industry on feature films like Moon Dog, Iona and The Receptionist and is comfortable on set big or small.
