Lighting Camera Operator working across branded content, factual TV, and creative documentary. Qualified Drone Pilot and experienced Producer/Director/Editor.

I have a full range of camera and drone equipment, lenses, lighting and grip to suit a range of different filming scenarios, as well as a mobile edit suite running Adobe Creative Suite (cutting on Premiere Pro) and DaVinci Resolve that can be brought on location if needed. I am a fully licensed drone pilot, with GVC, A2CofC, and Operational Authorisation from the CAA.

I can provide equipment or hire-in according to the needs of the production, and bring in crew if needed from a pool of talented freelancers that I work with regularly.

Recent work includes lighting and shooting a series of celebrity interviews for Scotland Tonight, shooting a master interview for a Channel 5 documentary; lighting and shooting a three camera interview for the Talbot Rice Gallery in Edinburgh; producing, directing and editing a series of fundraising films for the MS Society; and shooting aerial GVs for Leopard USA’s series, House Hunters International.

As a documentary director I helmed a VT for BBC Scotland’s A View From The Terrace; and a documentary short, Racing Stock, which was selected for the Scottish Documentary Institute’s Bridging The Gap scheme for emerging directors and commissioned by Screen Scotland, premiering at Glasgow Film Festival.

I have produced and directed a number of branded content commercials for organisations including National Railway Museum, Transport Scotland, Glen’s Vodka, and London School of Economics, working with agencies including Leith, The Union and Consider Creative.

I have also shot and directed films for a number of charities, including Oxfam, Inspiring Scotland, YMCA Kirkcaldy, Bloodwise, and Bowel Cancer UK.

I am equally comfortable self-shooting or working with a crew. I also have experience filming with vulnerable subjects where building trust and working alone or with a small crew is preferable. For bigger jobs, where needed, I can call on an extensive network of freelancers, from HMAs and costume designers to B-cam operators and production assistants.

I have my own transport and a clean driving licence, and am available for work across the UK and worldwide.
