The Princess Switch: Switched Again Trailer

We were thrilled when Netflix confirmed that they were bringing The Princess Switch: Switched Again, starring Vanessa Hudgens, to Edinburgh, not only to film on location but also basing the production unit in the city.

Filming took place over five weeks in December 2019 and January 2020, taking full advantage of the festive decorations in place in the city, including the gorgeously festooned Dome on George Street. Look out for a market scene in Parliament Square, and cafe scenes in Mimi's in Leith.

A film about a princess is going to involve some spectacular country houses and castles and The Princess Switch: Switched Again was no exception. Look out for Hopetoun House, Gosford in East Lothian and Manderston in the Scottish Borders.

The Princess Switch: Switched Again is released on Netflix on 19 November 2020.
